I am kind
Naive, in thought, as I refuse to succumb to adversity
I find comfort in simplicity:
Acceptance
“Serenity Prayer”
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as a pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as it would have it;
trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Gratitude
“Table Prayer”
Benedic, Domine, now et haec tua dona, quae de tua largitate sumus sumpturi, Per Christum Dominum nostrum.
Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord.
Acknowledgement
“Prayer of St. Francis”
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine master, grant that I may not so much seek to be soled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.
For it is in the giving that we receive, it is in the pardoning that we are pardoned and it is in the dying that we are born to eternal life.
These values guide my approach to life
LEAD WITH COMPASSION
Because although we are created equal, life presents inequalities that shape an individual. As such,
I choose to be uniquely imperfect
